Lol - that would've been a plan. However, this time I went to a salon, while I had the chance (yesterday), and had it cut, as I couldn't handle having that unruly mop again, or anything approaching it!:nono:

Snap! - I had my hair cut yesterday. :)
I'm expecting a full lockdown before long - the government are flailing around without a clue as to what to do.
My haircuts are similar to DIY jobs, Mrs. P is my barber. But with a couple of important differences - she never asks if I'm going anywhere nice for my holidays as she knows I'm bloody well not, and she never offers me "something for the weekend", apart from maybe a lawnmower or paint roller :(
My barber stopped asking me if I needed "something for the weekend" years ago. My then girlfriend though it a strange thing to ask, not understanding that it was a 'men only' environment (along with the magazines :D), and for some men it was less embarrasing than going into a chemist.
Today the same barber shop is staffed by both male and female hairdressers, and the typical topic of conversation is bloody Covid!
I haven't been to a traditional men's barber since I was a kid, as they've always tended to be full of old men!:D
So.... I prefer what are essentially ladies hair salons, with either women working in them, who know how to cut men's (short) hair, as many don't, and so normally the job of a 'senior stylist', or men who generally know how to cut men's hair.
I much prefer the vibe, and indeed have always been someone who prefers mingling with other people my age or younger, and of course some of the girlies who work in these salons aren't too 'hard on the eyes';)

Lol.... It's all part of the entertainment, plus I enjoy building up a rapport with a particular stylist, a bit like a bartender in a local bar, in that respect, in that I can walk in and they know what I want without asking for it.
I've known my current stylist, who usually calls at home, but had to isolate after a friend of her daughter's tested positive for Covid (hence why I visited a salon), for nearly as long as I've known Del. I think I first met her in 1990, in a salon in Wrexham, when Del and I were living in Glasgow but used to come and visit her mum, and she's now become a good friend to both of us.
I just enjoy building relationships like that, and as I've said before, I'm someone who's always enjoyed female company, as I usually get on very well with women!
