...but can you limit yourself to 2 a day:D
Good point Grant, with verbal diarrhoea the sky's the limit. Perhaps I should be thinking 'quality rather than quantity'. At least until I learn how to post pictures.
I've just spent the last week in London, and seemed to be the only one who has been wearing a poppy.
One hopes others will follow in a few day's time.
i wear a poppy badge all year round

What's with all these TV commercials with fat women in, are we supposed to accept that obese is the new norm?
I for one welcome our new chubby overlords.
I guess there is nothing wrong with 'chubby'
Nope, especially when it's the fat end of a cucumber;)
Marco.
I hate ironing but having purchased an upright steamer a few weeks ago I now love it...
I originally purchased a cheap upright steamer from Amazon but it was useless so I invested in the 'so called' best steamer available, the Jiffy 2000M, which is made in the US.. like this:

They are normally about £250 but I got it really cheap via an Amazon Warehouse deal which described it as slightly damaged but it's absolutely brand new
I love it and it really makes ironing fun... it's like magic ;)
Or knickers ?
I remember that getting my arse in gear on a Sunday night to do the ironing of shirts for work was the hardest thing in the world. I don't know who invented the non-iron shirt but they should get a medal and a statue.
Not ironed a thing in years now.
You don't want a VPL showing through your rubber gimp suit - how unsexy is that?
Dont iron anything really now alas. I used to iron anything and everything(family trait) but cant manage now... Most things if dried properly will de-crease themselves, and when worn further improve.
Oooh rubber and knickers :nono:
Maggie might was a good song. Faces were good in there day just mostly hasn't aged well
The stones are there too ... Prune stones[emoji23]
No trick or treat beggers tonight :yay:
They obvioulsy have seen the 'no cold calling' signs posted around here....
First come first served at chez Pony - First caller gets something, anyone after that gets ignored. I doubt anyone was convinced there was nobody home - each time there was a knock on the door, the cat jumped on the window cill to peep through the blinds. Callers couldn't fail to notice the movement. But checking outside this morning, windows are egg-free, and no other signs of mischief.
I never get any. I think the bullet holes through the front gate puts them off. :)
as per usual nobody came near...must remove that spiked head for next year; think its putting folk off;)
For Halloween , the Hermes man came delivering at 7-30 at night :mental:
Anyroad , was busy working , but was there to greet him , so ,alerted when the dogs barked , I rushed the large box containing my latest Aiwa AP turntable into the mancave before anyone noticed
Today I have been playing with it - shes a minter - despite the seller putting both headshells with both stylus still in ,into a bag with a record brush and the weight off the arm
Fortunately the wrecked one was already goosed and the other appears unscathed !!!
Sorry about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY4KVFrTJPc
This is true !!!;)
However , having searched high and low for the original headshell, (that wasnt on mine ) for several months , and if you did for £30 or so , to see the same model turntable ,rare in itself , with 2 original headshells , and in' Perfect working condition' , what can you do ?? :eyebrows:
So , sitting on the auction with 2 secs to spare ,shot a max bid of £95 into the bay and ended up with it for £58 plus 17.50 postage !!! Woooooooo:eek:
That is a bargain. Especially as it arrived intact this time.
Yes . Although the first was fully intact and sold to be as working , but only barely lol!
To be honest Martin , I have no great interest in spending loads on a turntable (not that I cant afford to though) .
Both Aiwas are lucky finds , I decided I liked the first one enough to buy this as a spare or vice versa. Direct drive , not quartz lock , less to go wrong ,but still steady enough on speed , semi auto, and I love the look of them !!! Just need to clear the others out to make some room
Dust gathers in places
Is this reasonable?

think someone will challenge that at some time and win.
I retired over 10 years ago, the company that I worked for had banned smoking anywhere on the large site. And, there were plenty of open spaces around the many buildings there.
Being a non smoker, I was not bothered, but smokers found this very difficult.
As smokers are very much in the minority these days they're always going to be shit on by committees. If I was on a committee I would propose the banning of alcohol during lunch breaks and people with comb-overs, but then I would be outnumbered there too.
It won't end with smokers - next up will be employees who drive to work. Everyone will be forced to cycle, walk or take public transport.
