Yes that is a stunner, Eymet is in a Lovely part of France that i stayed in back in 2002 and very near to Bergerac which you can fly to from Southampton Airport with Flybe.com,Quote:

Less well known than other vintage amps from the USA but I've always liked the two tier construction and the battleship build quality.

Re the Cambridge Audio discussion a year ago, I may be able to add a little value. I have a long and now more recent experience of this gear. In the mid 70s I was using a P110/T55/R50 system as per Barry's friend and darned good it was, too, especially when fed vinyl from an LP12/Ittok/OC9!
The T55 is one of the best FM tuners ever made. Period.
IMHO, the amps can show a clean pair of heels to most reasonably priced amps today. I'd place a P110 against anything up to £2,000 - £3,000 (don't forget that it was a premium priced item in its day, don't be fooled by 2nd hand prices). The lower powered amps aren't far behind and the P50Mk2 is even a tad "sweeter" sounding.
All of the range has a clear, transparent and unfatiguing sound. They "play tunes in the bass", have "pace rhythm and timing" in spades without trickery a la Naim and are wonderful with piano. Moreover, they all have the uncanny ability to make vocals easily discernible so that the words of songs you don't know are clear to hear.
Big downside: once we start listening via these amps it gets addictive and we end up playing music for hours!
