Good one Grant. She's one of the only jazz vocalists that I can actually listen to. Just not my thing. But Diana Krall is one that always moves me. Have you heard her Live in Paris album? It's excellent. Great sound quality too.

I was in Tavistock a few weeks ago,with the good lady wife in a small charity shop.I was browsing a few LPs (usual suspects,all rubbish) when the little old lady running the place said she has some "new" old records in the back,there were 8 or 9 at 50p each.She was so pleasant I said I would have em all (I'm a Saint, I know )
Anyway one was "Aurora" by Jean Luc Ponty in good condition worth 10 quid to me as I love his music BUT there was also the real 2 subjects of my post
"Take this Hammer" by Leadbelly in pretty good nick Folkways Records USA, 1968 I think, a collection of much earlier recordings.I would call it "blues",not particularly my cup of tea, but hey,it is just brilliant.
I have played the heck out of it.
"Brownie n Sonny's Blues" by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee fair condition French "Roulette" records 1960. These two,both disabled,just gel and I have enjoyed this one too.
At 50p each a bit of a bargain and there are not many left !!
