I don't know, last time I went to Tenerife was about 15 years ago, and they were all over me like flies round shit. I'm just a guy who can't say no, fortunately one look at Mrs. P's face sent them packing.

Veronica's Strip could gave been so much more.
Who's Veronica?
never been to the islands; never will now..
Been to Lanzarote quite a few times pre and post Covid, not been to Tenerife for about 30 years
It did almost make it up the leg of my beloved’s denim shorts before being flicked off and then sprinting up another old dear’s leg before one of the waitresses dispatched it with a well planted size 5.

Home now, wasn’t very keen on Tenerife, been spoilt by my sojourns to the Caribbean. Now just the subject of an average tripadvisor review.
Can't fault the Caribbean.
ah, winchester... hope your weather is better than up here

Used to like Bournemouth, not been there in maybe thirty years.
I'll be at the seaside myself soon, permanently.
Well it didn't bother me as I had my record collection and audio system with me at the time.
I was fascinated with what was once a fashionable sea side resort, but had become a 'has been'. Would be interested to learn what has become of the place today.
When I was in the Kilimanjaro national park in Kenya, I had an armed escort due to banditry in the lower wooded areas. Not armed with a machine gun, but a rifle - though I suspect it was only for show.
I have been to other parts of the world (e.g. Yemen, Thailand etc.) where I also been accompanied by armed guides.
No takers?
Here’s another pic

Clues - I didn’t need an armed guard in the lower wooded area…
Hartlepool Marina - I was there last week!
the gib
Yeah it runs down side of marina into the bay. Just gotta hope the plane stops [emoji23]
My father was stationed in Gibraltar during the war. He was a sheet metal worker in the REME (the Army engineers), and during his stay made a silver chalice/vase for the garrison church. When I visited the church I would have liked to have seen it, but I couldn't and there was no-one around to ask.
Gibraltar is a strange place - quaintly British with red phone boxes, letter boxes, and all the shops there that you see in this country: M&S; W H Smith, as well as traditional English pubs.
We were there on a Sunday, so went to a pub for the traditional Sunday roast, apple pie and custard and a pint or two of London Pride ale. :)
We had a day out in Gibraltar, with a pub lunch and a clear view across to north Africa. Couldn't decide if I liked the place. Great views from up on the rock, but we were warned those barbary macaques are bad buggers and not to be messed with.
Have they sorted the runway yet? What they had was mental, but there were plans to run the road under the runway iirc.
Was poorly last couple of days so didn’t get much sightseeing done. Few random shots I did get.

Thanks Barry.
It was down to a chest infection and the adverse reaction of my digestive system to the anti biotics I was taking for it (I was frightened to cough).
Was impressed with being able to get back from Heathrow on the Elizabeth line for free on my over sixties oyster :)
Did you go in the caves, Roy?
I don't actually know if you can go in them. Saw a TV show about them not that long ago.
