The rest (HK 725 preamp, HK 770 amplifier, HK EQ7 equalizer and HK 440xm cassette deck) also seems correct"

Here’s that Denon, just replaced a belt in it. It’s not very good but only cost me £18 + £1.30 for the belt.

Bully had a serious weight problem. Never noticed that before.
The opening episode of the Titans on Netflix, there is a Garrard 401 and what looks like a Cyrus system in the vertical stand, in NightWings loft apartment. Tried to take photos but was unable to.
Was watching the darts the other day and most of them still do look like that. No booze or fags on the go during the match anymore though, which is a shame.
Does anyone remember that "Not The Nine o'clock News" sketch with the beer drinking contest, where the competitors threw a few darts in between necking pints? Pretty close to the truth really, but then darts (and snooker) were more entertaining in those days.
I remember in the darts when they would occasionally cut to a shot of the crowd and you could see the heavy smoke haze hanging over them. And the tables they were sat at would be literally overflowing with empty pint pots with more stacked up on the floor from where they'd had to clear some space to put another ash tray down. People knew how to enjoy themselves back then.

Movie Bohemian Rhapsody - Garrard 401. One of the rare ones with a volume dial on the front. :)
Finally I have the opportunity to contribute to the best thread on AOS!
Watched the superb documentary on the Williams F1 team the other night (Saturday?). "Williams: Formula 1 In The Blood".
Frank Dernie, a former F1 engineer, has some pretty bank account emptying kit on show.
Not sure exactly what the speakers are, Avantgarde perhaps?? CD player looks swiss or even a bit REGA-ish . . .
They were showing sneaky peaks of the kit out of focus during the interview, thought the speakers were just some wall art possibly but then he played some music on them.
Been scrolling through iPlayer trying to find the clip on and off for 2 days!
I'm pleased with my commitment here.

Would love to know what the kit actually is if anyone knows?!
Goldmund I think.
Ping him a message on a forum - he’s member ‘f1eng’ on Wigwam, PFM and here, although I don’t think he’s visited here for a while.
I’ve met him a few times at Scalford - he’s a very nice chap and I’m sure he’d be happy to tell you all about his system.

That controller in pic one looks like the wireless volume for that French digital super amp....Devialet.
Thanks for the thread thumbs up....when I first posted I imagined (drunkenly) it would get to about ten posts....it's gunna outlast me.
 Them too, they worked closely with a lot of ladyparts, including Sir Paul - as a brand they had their fingers in lots of pies. Important thing is to dispose of them carefully, as I found out when I blocked the toilet with my copy of 'Venus and Mars'.
Ah yes, Sir Paul is a long time champion of the iffy sphincter through his work for the international charity ‘Dutch boys and dykes’
I heard he left under a cloud. Something about a dyke with a hole and Sir Paul trying to plug it. :eyebrows:
Well it was the Dutch boys day off, he went for a manicure.
Anyway pulling the thread back round [emoji6]

Mike reckoned the McIntosh pre was powering the Bozak speakers [emoji848], he got them for $3000.
'Must be in to monitor' - you'd think you could remember that. Still, you couldn't beat those sticky label machines back in the day. Almost as much fun as a polaroid camera.
That shade of pastel green only ever existed for a short time in the 1970s.

They got the Bose and the Marantz for $200
I've seen loads of those shows and I've never seen them find any hi-fi. Just lots of rusty old signs advertising oil and petrol (or 'gasoline' as they insist on calling it).
and mine! good taste roy :)
