I can only repeat what's been said, yes it was easy :) I was guided through the electronics of it by Qwin on another thread. In an ideal world, I'd have liked to have changed the start/stop/33/45 push buttons for something more traditional and tactile, but I was wisely advised here that it's not as straightforward as I had hoped.
Ah, so Qwinny's work was your reference point? No worries. It's something that I also want to have done later on, as it tidies up the aesthetics of the T/T, as well as removing some unnecessary 'gubbins', which I guess can't do any harm :)

Marco, you have the 5g. I would leave it alone - you won't be able to match the finish of the 'g'. I could redo the surface of mine - a straight '5' but the 5g is a pretty fab look.Quote:

Btw, in the third pic, it shows a Resomat, which I no longer have. I now use an Nagaoka glass mat. Other than that, the pic shows the Mike New ETP platter, and everything else that the T/T currently has fitted to it.

ok, if you can't hear a difference that's fair enough. I just think the top plate looks too fussy with all those extra buttons and I don't like the "cool" blue LEDs, I'm afraid I like the old school green and red, that's just my personal taste.Quote:

It's about time that we had some new mods to play around with. I think the only thing I'd change on mine now would be the platter mat, I'd like to try something like what you have, otherwise I'm happy with everything else.
Lol - new mods to play with? Nah, I'm quite happy to forget tweaking now and just enjoy the music! My Techy is at the stage of 'job done'. I suspect you're more of a 'tinkerer' than I am :eyebrows:
I thoroughly recommend the Nagaoka glass mat, if you can find one - just ekes out more music and sounds more natural than any other mat I've used.

i've considered 'de cluttering' the top plate of the techy, and different colours etc. decided to stick with the 'natural' appearance of the 1210 in the end.
only thing left to do is get a new armboard and some isonoes, then get it set up correctly for the first time! then spend the rest of my money on records :)

The Jasmine LP2.5DU is a very good sounding phono stage, even the on MC. But Niels on our norwegian forum (Hifisentralen.no) was kind enough to lend me his Rothwell MCL 26db with Lundahl LL9226 transformers. Wow, the cart just came alive with air, dynamics, fast tight bass and 3D:eek:
Also; tonight I remembered that you Marco said that I could take off the Techniboots and just use the Isone Feet now that I have the ETP. Boy, you were right. treble is even more airy and extended now. Thanks for that tip, Marco:)

All is the same now, apart from having a Mike New ETP platter (and Nagaoka glass mat), instead of the Funk MKI platter, shown. I also no longer use the Michell clamp, but a 'YNWaN special' instead. Oh yes, the SPU is different, too! :)

Hey Scott, it's a glass/acrylic platter mat. Nagaoka has one. This is the Analogue Seduction version which looks to be a decent and cheaper copy.
Unlucky about the Reds today. I was hoping their run continued.
