Well that's not so bad, that you don't have to do all of it :)

We have a young lad come do our valeting, he's coming round this week. He only started doing it last year, so he's only done it once and we got it really cheap. He spent about 3 hours on it and chargeed £30, I don't know how he can get by being that cheap. Does a really thorough job.

He's the son of our gardener (wow, going through this and my previous post one would think we're bone idle! And I suppose we are a bit, but then I'm providing a bit of work for others, albeit jobs I don't wamt.

Another calm dry morning with the sun making an appearance again.

Same here looks like it will be another decent day.

4C with bright sunshine. Expected to be warmer today than yesterday.

The mist never lifted yesterday and around 10pm was thick fog, but clear and bright this morning, lots of sun and hopefully warming up.

3 hours to valet a car?!! What does he do? It only takes 15 minutes to brush and hover the carpets and seats, and maybe dust the instrument cluster. If the intside of the windows need cleaning, then that might add another 15 minutes; so a half hour in total.

Talking of gardening, I need to cut the grass (it's not good enough to call it a lawn). At the moment we have a cloudless blue sky with sunshine, so I'll see if it is dry enough to do it now.

Depends how bad it's got I suppose :lol:

I valeted my mother's car before I sold it, just doing the outside took 3 hours it was that bad. About another hour for the inside. I don't think it had been washed in about 3 years.

When we used to buy cars at the auction and flip them 8 hours of valeting wasn't unusual. I spend a whole day once just cleaning a back seat. From a distance it looked like black fabric but it was actually meant to be a pastel colour. Got it clean, it was a bit faded though.

But with some T cut and blackener for the plastic and rubber you could get a fifteen year old Escort back to looking showroom, almost.

If you're not using a toothbrush, you're not doing it properly ;)

I think he gave an unnecessary amount of attention to detail, certainly the result was very nice. I've no idea why it took him so long, maybe he spent a lot of the time gawping at his smartphone, he's only 19.

Pretty warm in Blackpool today, about 15C. But then come 3pm it started chucking it down.

supposed to rain here but never happened.
