Well my boy is William and daughter Tamzin’s second name is Daisy, so I guess that should mean I like Dolly - But like the rest of us old farts on here I would always think of Dolly the Sheep, so I wouldn’t say it would be a name I would choose but each to their own.

Well the name is going to be Dolly Mae (not sure if it will be hyphenated). Shame she didn't choose "Margaret" as the middle name, I could then call her Dolly Peg.

Such names give children character. I recall a country song from my youth about, “a boy named Sue”, apparently his father gave him this name to make him tough.

I’m sure a nickname will take hold very soon, although I’m not sure what nicknames there are for Dolly? Hopefully she’ll be pretty enough that no one will worry about her name, and her friends will be too young to remember the cloned sheep? And actually I think Mae is a very good Name! Maybe she’ll go by that?

My sister’s name is Claudette, (my dad’s name is Claude) so her middle name is Lynn, and that’s the name she has always gone by. So glad I wasn’t born first, or I’d be Claude Jr.
