My record is wearing three tyres out in a day. It was awesome fun, but a tad expensive. Awesome track though, although grippy, it was a bit abrasive. :eyebrows:

My Range Rover is broken currently (again). It's booked in for a service in two weeks time anyway, but my Landy man said to bring it in today for a quick code scan to see if he could reset it and/or see what replacement parts it might need that he could fit during the service.

Trouble, is, it doesn't appear to be broadcasting or storing any fault codes, despite the air suspension having dropped to its lowest setting and refusing to move, a "Hill Descent Control Not Available" message an the LCD and the ABS, Braking system and Traction Control warning lights being permanently on. He was puzzled; I'm just depressed...

As an aside the fault first occurred when I booted it enthusiastically out of a side road last Friday. A fellow RR owner here at work says it's just punishing me for such hooligan behaviour! :D

My daughter's 2 year old Discovery is back in the garage for the umpteenth time. She's had the car 6 months and is halfway through the 12 month warranty. Rear diff or something this time. Repair cost is £2k, and warranty only pays out first £1200. During this week she's had two important meetings to attend in Manchester for which she used the train, as they didn't provide a courtesy car. And before anyone says she should have been more assertive, believe me when I say that when she's on one, people run for cover. Turns out she likes trains :)

Anyway, that Disco will be history by the time the warranty's up.

dont blame her... my bro always said, if you dont need 4wd, then steer clear. its a lot of hassle and expensive t'boot

The other way round here, it's what I kept telling my brother, but he keeps buying 4wd motors. Even a huge bill for a rebuilt transmission on his Land Rover hasn't put him off (it cost him near what the car was worth).

as soon as he no longer needed the landy for horse duties it was sold. it was a nice motor and didnt give a huge amount of trouble(was his second or 3rd), but costs across board mae it pointless.

She won't learn from it, she's already talking about getting a truck next, maybe a VW Amarok. She doesn't need a big car, she's 5'5" and 8 stone wet through. But she shares it with her partner, who's a 6 foot plus gripper, a right unit.
