Don't get me wrong the original 3 are watchable. None are as good as Under Siege though, to set some sort of benchmark.

More or less Martin but, as you say, quite watchable. Meerkat movies so two for price of one & £10 off voucher on back of tickets for Frankie & Benny's and we were going there for lunch anyway :)Quote:

How did you get on with it Grant, I had to turn it off after about 10 minutes, not a patch on the original TV series for me.

I liked it Tim. Very well acted too, with top stars all enjoying themselves, but you do feel an air of reverance to the old series too.
Feel you maybe need to watch it twice to get it, as first time your a bit nonplused about it all, as everyone is strange.
Maybe I'll try again, but I just couldn't relate to Capt. Mainwaring, Arthur Lowe was peerless in the role and that was my main reason for giving up.

worth sticking with and watching twice at least to get over the original cast9hard to do I know, being a fan myself). My lad got it and I got the digital version as he doesnt use broadband. I am hoping to get apple tv upstairs soon, so I will be able to watch both apple and my flixster content in evening too, as I reside on or near the bed these days in evening.(where my pc is)
