I know it has been said before, but when you're in the middle of it, you don't notice it so much, when everyone around you is experiencing the same. Not so good for those who were already suffering real hardships though.
Indeed... As I said, I never experienced any of that, as a) I was way too young, and b) my dad at the time was running his own very successful business, so we were shielded from a lot of the stuff others had to go through.
