just out of interest for others.. i was dropping a card off to my grandson today and left car running and all the time i was outside chatting the engine never kicked in once. nothing running really tho bat the stereo and the sound was pausedQuote:

If the stereo was blaring music, then the engine would start to get the MG's charging the battery.
As long as you leave it in "park" and not neutral, then you're good to go.
We've been slaves to the tyranny of technology for long enough now. I'm thinking about buying a horse and cart. Just a bit concerned about the effect of horse farts on climate change. Then it's just a case of choosing a colour - I believe piebald is an optional extra.Quote:

That is a very good point, puts my mind at ease. But I also need to investigate how much garden I need to sustain one horse. I don't see the idea catching on in a big way, as so many folk don't have a garden. Unless car parks could be grassed over, that might work :)
I may have to plan my journeys so I only pass through posh areas - last thing I'd want is to come out of the Spar shop to find some scummy chav has keyed my horse :(
funny but down in dublin there were a good few folk who had horses grazing on grass outside there flats and homes in some schemes. it wasnt unusual. they were tied on a loose rope etc.. you wouldnt see that in britain.. i am going back a few yearsQuote:

It's a piece of cake to do a drain test whilst disconnecting various fitted equipment to see what may be causing the problem.
I've seen that sort of problem again and again with after market alarms and trackers etc.
In all the years I was a tech for Toyota/Lexus, I've not seen that problem on a non after market accessory fitted car.
