I've just resurrected my valve head amp.
It didn't work :(
Had a gander and realised I'd nicked the output capacitors :doh:

After a few hours of use my Garrard 401 starts to smell like my grandad’s old Bedford van.

Have you noticed that you can't buy spray bleach now? I use it quite a lot for cleaning and wanted more. Nowhere seems to stock it now. Probably regarded as a potential weapon! :rolleyes:

We use bleach very occasionally (such as on our enamel bath), as bleaching everywhere is not particularly good for your immune system - and if you clean stuff often enough it doesn't need bleached! ;)
Cleaning products made from natural ingredients are far better than anything with chemicals in them - certainly much healthier :)
