I left mine with a staff member in Northampton. Dunno what he did with it as the master idler was slipping on the motor/flywheel and the main control wouldn't stay engaged (a common problem I've seen a few times).
Nah, I want a Ferrograph logic 7, although apparently the heads wear out quickly because fast winding apparently doesn't lift the tape clear of them......

Aye non disengaging heads on FFw/Rew, that was one of the primary reasons that Betamax video machines were a flop putting aside the extra pitfall of short recording time available on high quality record..But like anything in the consumer electronics world if something is easier to use fuck sound/vision quality
Dave theres one thing theres no pressure pads on a 'Logic 7' like the older machines..Nice looking machines all the same..

Good Luck. I've had that Sony in bits since this morning, worked on it constantly.It didnt work, the belts were knackered, the record wouldnt latch, brakes were catching etc etc you name it...All sorted 12 hours later, new belts,everything clean,oiled & greased looks like a new one..perfect, the flywheel motor is slightly noisy tho, i'm gonna strip & rebuild it, might aswell now.Quote:
