Went to watch Massive Attack this week, as usual pretty amazing. The highlight for me however was the support band Young Fathers, from Edinburgh, who were stunning. Not sure how to describe them? Loosely hip-hop roots I suppose but so much more. Pretty challenging listening but highly recommended - I bought their two LPs and will explore further this weekend.
Also went to watch Drenge with my son last weekend. Very loud, young audience, huge mosh-pit.....( I must be getting old)

Steven Wilson at the Newcastle City Hall last night, an incredible show both visually and musically. Grown men close to tears with 'the raven' finale.
Followed by an impromptu get together with some of the NEBO regulars getting out of the house and away from their stereos for an evening. Fab night, always great to see these guys.

last gig i went to was the sweden rock festival this summer were i mainly went to see TOTO. Simply put, me and my friends got to see a magical concert. I know the official sweden rock magazine gave them 3/5 but for us it was one of the best live gigs ever. It was great that Joseph Williams was back on vocals and we got to hear "Orphan" from the new "XIV" album, a song that me and my friends hold very close to our hearts.

Had a wonderful evening at Bury Met yesterday watching I Am Kloot main man John Bramwell at the start of his solo acoustic tour.
Great songs, great banter, full house (250 ish), and great beer. What more can you possibly want on a Friday night.
If you like I Am Kloot then I would strongly recommend that you go and see John if he's coming to a venue near you, you wont be disappointed.
