I first discovered this Welsh indie-pop outfit when they supported Tina Dico at Union Chapel in London in 2013 (I think), along with Tim, formerly of this parish. As soon as I heard Sarah Howell's voice I was captivated, I don't know how to describe it but I remember saying to Tim at the time that she makes me "ache" - and I mean that in a good way! Saw them a couple of times thereafter on their own tours, and always brilliant and happy to chat to the fans. I remember having a drink with them at Norwich Arts Centre, one of my favourite venues where I also saw Tina and it was magnificent, but I digress.
This is their first album, sadly they split in 2015, although Sarah still makes music under the name Bryde, also worth checking out, but not quite as boppy and cheerful as this one! She has also collaborated on a considerable number of dance tunes.
She does have a distinctive voice and delivery.
Reminds me a bit of 'Throwing Muses.'

Whilst I must have a dozen or so of her records, these days I have become a bit lazy and tend to play compilation albums.
I saw her perform in Manchester in the late '60s - early '70s. She was excellent, and displayed a character which you wouldn't want to cross and get on the wrong side.
