My brother has just treated himself to a mountain bike, as all his others are road bikes. Cost £1500 secondhand. SECONDHAND! But not as daft as the bloke he bought it off, who paid 7 grand for it new :eek: And as he pointed out, I paid more for my speakers than I did for my (then) 3 year old Honda FireBlade.
The money us blokes will chuck at our hobbies will always be baffling to outsiders, even to those who think nowt of spending thousands every year on fags and booze :)
Had the car out for a run there.. Daughter's family popped round and scraped it and started it. left heaters on so it was snug for me. slippy under wheels for many.. a couple of beamers sliding about:ner: but the toyota is very sure footed and not a single spin:eek:

Am I the only one who's noticed the car in the confused.com commercial? It all goes well until the last scene when the girl drives off in the old Merc. It drives down the ramp to the road and starts bouncing and wallowing due to knackered shocks. Quite comical and inexcusable really.
not seen an ad for years.. gonna have to try and get into mine tho and at least run it. weather is now for more snow/ice for forseeable
Lol, nice one... Totally different here though, weather wise... Currently just under 5C, bone dry and hee-haw snow or ice! Yes, the slight flurry of snow we had yesterday was gone almost as soon as it came!:(Quote:

Saw that ad last night. Apparently the car is still bouncing as we speak. If it crashed, Confused.com's insurance companies would say the car wasn't road worthy, and reject the claim :(Quote:
