Yes - just paranoia. I had a similar experience many years ago: I came home from work noting to my alarm that there were magazines and books laying on the floor of my living room. It looked as if I had been burgled, but nothing was missing. The explanation was that I had come home the night before after having had a 'skin full' at my local hostelry, and had 'bounced off the walls' of the living room before putting myself to bed, and unknowingly knocking the objects to the floor.
its a bugger when that happens and then you trip over them ;)
I'd notice that missing, I hope. However, I do have a strange paranoia that if someone does have access to my place they are actually pinching records 1 or 2 at a time. I don't have a particularly big collection but I definitely would not notice if a couple had gone.
This is actually not the first time I have suspected that I have had a visitor, but it's the strongest I have ever felt it. I am just putting it down to silly paranoia, but that doesn't mean it isn't actually happening, although it really is highly unlikely.
