Time to break open the crate of 2008 stuff then.
I may crack open a bottle of Tizer to go with me chippy tea. :)
Make sure you open it an hour in advance, to allow the chemicals to 'breathe'. Tastes proper shit, then.
Marco.
Does anyone remember Cresta, it's catchline was " it's frothy man ". There was a drink that really was awful, chemical fruit flavours with extra sugar to make foam. Even as a sugar junkie kid I thought it was revolting.

If it's cold enough it is good in the glass bottles but it is like cola and rots your innards. Lol
Only drink water now
Can imagine it was like gargling with battery acid Grant, i remember one day after the pop man had been, he left my mum with amongst other things a pop bottle the same as all the others but the label said Non Brewed Condiment on it, i was about 5 or 6 and didn't know what that was so i took a big swig, i can tell you what it wasn't, as i recall my whole family thought it was hilarious and i learned that Non Brewed Condiment was just a long ass way of saying vinegar.
Yes, you'll be talking about Browns (but we still call it Mustapha's) That's where we go for regular chippy stuff. But tonight we went to Lisa's Chinese off top of Harpers Lane. No Lisa in sight though. All his family have buggered off to China for the foreseeable future, and he's keeping it going on his own. Respect!
Creamola Foam is what you needed ... put two spoons in your glass instead of one

Not sure which Chinese i go to, just order off Just Eat at the moment, but i used to go to Wonderland Chinese in Leyland when i lived over there, next time you down Parker Street, feel free to pop in Steve, it'd be good to meet up with some forum members around the Chorley area.
That looks like fun Mike, I want some!
We used to buy these effervescent orange tablets that were meant to be put in a glass of water to make a fizzy vitamin C-rich orange drink. But we ate them like they were Trebor Refreshers. Keeping all the foam under control was a real challenge. But that was along time ago, we're all grown up now. ;)
It's 4.38 in the morning and I still can't get to sleep, 2nd night running!
It's 5. 32 here
I had problem too, listening to LBC all night
feel zombie-fied  gotta drive to hospital soon too. that'll be fun. lol
Well, my insomniac friends, I went to bed last night at 10pm, and have only just now woken up!:eyebrows: Bloody clammy though, so it was - and looks like set for a scorcher here today, currently 20°C, and rising...
Hope you get on ok at the docs, Granty.
Marco [both loves and needs his sleep].
9 and a half hours, blimey I don't ever remember sleeping that long! Get to sleep about midnight, wake up about 6.30 and my head is straight away like a motorway in rush hour traffic - no chance of going back to sleep.
No wonder your plops are legendary - baking them for that long!
Good stuff, mate. Hopefully tonight, after a few glasses of wine, you'll sleep better!;)
Marco.
Yup Ive several. Seems wind gets trapped and reduces the air intake.
Had a little sleep there. Now a film.
Haha - they certainly get 'nicely marinated', whilst stuck up there and generating some primo quality arse-gas:eyebrows:
I've always been a sound (and long) sleeper. In that respect, I've not changed since I was a kid. As soon as my head hits the pillow, that's me out like a light, for the very minimum, 8 hours.
Quite often, the only thing that wakes me, is needing to go for a pish (although in that respect I don't *yet* suffer from 'old man syndrome', and wake up in the early hours of the morning)!:D
If I don't drink a lot of fluids before going to bed, I can sleep right through, no problem. Lots of sleep [along with a lack of stress] is one of the things that help keep you looking young! I'm also partial to the occasional afternoon nap.
Marco.
P.S What's "rush-hour traffic"?;)
You can go off some people you know.
I have no problem getting to sleep - I get through probably 5 or 6 pages of whatever book I'm on before it falls onto the floor (or Mrs P's head!) and that's me till 6.30. I think I just don't need a long sleep.
I may be a bit old fashioned but I would never put up with a telly in the bedroom, and luckily Anita is with me on this.
Lol.... We don't have a telly in ours either, although I'm not anti the notion. It's simply how things have turned out. Besides, there are other things to do in the bedroom apart from watching TV or sleeping, and I don't mean sniffing your farts under the duvet;)
I don't need anything to help me go to sleep, including reading books. I simply go to bed when I'm tired, such as now, and then blissfully fall into the land of nod! :goodnight:
Marco.
P.S Tomorrow I have to get up early to go somewhere, so won't manage to sleep as long as usual!
Ive 2 TVs in my bedroom
Several TV's here, no licence, and I'm legal, because I don't watch live TV or Iplayer
My problem with sleep is pain. I had an operation 3 years ago and it never healed properly, no fault of the surgeon just one of those things but it has started getting quite painful recently. I do take pain killers but they often don't hit the spot. I'm going back into hospital next month to have things put right so hopefully that will be an end to it.
Just up, and looks like another lovely morning!:)
We watch live TV all the time, so couldn't do without our TV license.
Marco.
We have just the one TV, a hulking behemoth Phillips set from about ten years ago given to us free last year by my daughter's ex-boyfriend. Prior to that we'd be TV-less for several years. We'll be biffing that set soon and getting a smaller, more discreet flatscreen. We watch so little it's not worth shelling out for a widescreen.
Just back from the cafe , full english :)
Can't beat a proper cooked breakfast made for you. :) A programme late last night showed that a cooked breakfast (bacon & eggs) kept hunger away for longer than cereals or fruit/yogurt options. I've always believed that anyway.
Haha... It was early for me, and earlier than I got up the previous day!:D
Don't do cereals, soz, as I don't like plain milk. I can take it in other things, no problem, but not on its own. For breakfast I usually have some fresh fruit, and/or toast (using crusty Polish bread) with butter/jam, and some fresh orange or peach juice, with a nice frothy cappuccino.
I was taking my car into 'my man', who's half an hour away in Oswestry, to have a new JBL sound system fitted... Well, I say 'new'. It was bought new in 2015 and fitted into my previous car, and removed before I got rid of it, and so far hadn't been fitted into my current car. The whole lot is still minty!:)
Here's the original thread, showing said system in my old car: https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...424#post615424
The difference this time is that the sub will be removed from its enclosure and put into a custom-made housing, located near the spare wheel. Pics to follow (on a separate thread), when the job has been done. Hopefully there will also be some pics of 'work in progress' too, up until that point.
Looking forward to it, as it sounded SUPERB in the old car!!
Marco.
Looks pretty good - I bet it makes some nice sounds. Only problem is you won't be able to hear the engine and exhaust, so you may as well be driving an electric car :D
Ladder in the corner of the garden is a clever touch - looks like display shelves for plants, but I'm betting it's how you sneak off to the pub when you're meant to be mowing the lawn. :)
:lolsign:
Depends on how loud I play music!
Ha - well, there's a pub right next door, so that bit is right, but it's shit, so we never use it. The 'ladder', as you say, was used to house plants (and for the cats to climb up on), but that's no longer there.Quote:

Marco.
Yeah I noticed that pub in a pic you posted a while ago. It looks like one of those soulless two-for-one places that are EVERYWHERE these days, where you can get two plates of crap for the price of... two plates of crap. Apparently they cook their steaks in something called a 'Merry Chef' which sounds like something you would buy in Argos, and probably is. :( Still, their 'Wacky Warehouses' look like fun, if only I was 55 years younger.
