Currently giving Slowdive's Souvlaki another chance.

Back in the day I liked Lush, Ride and MBV but Slowdive passed me by and their moment was curtailed by the onrush of grunge, Britpop and urban music. Recently they seem to have undergone a revival and the younger generation has latched onto them.
It strikes me as a blend of The Sundays and Cocteau Twins. Pleasant although I'm not yet sure if it's any more than that.
I was playing 'Melody A.M.' the other day. I picked it up in a charity shop 'on spec'. Wasn't sure if I would like it, but at 50p I thought I would take a punt.Quote:
