Just won a loverly condition ERA (Etudes et Recherches Acoustiques) MK6 Turntable, these were great sounding decks used 48 pole Syncro motors & inverted bearing..This is a late one so should have a good bearing, i have a spare NOS motor if anything should be wrong with this one! What i love about these is everything is built on the baseboard.. neoprene 'silent block' platter suspension..
Anyhow i'll get it all completely rebult like new inc new armboard & side cheeks in natural English oak..New lid made etc etc..
I love em really compact size like the Thorens 'TD150' was. o a reasonable £52.00. You dont have too much overhang at the back so a i recon a nice SME '3009' S2 Improved will be the ticket..

Recently won this and it has arrived today, wet inside the packaging :scratch: and has been dropped of course so a bent the bottom cover
Left it to dry out for a few hours just tried it and one channel is dead and i seem to be getting a slight voltage tingle through the chassis, unplugged it and left it alone for now .
What is it with these arsesole from these courier companys, fragile and do not drop isn't in thier vocabulary or understanding

Very sorry to hear that,but also if it was packed properly maybe you wouldent have a problem.....That is why I will never,ever,EVER...buy anything so delicate by post....I have driven 150 miles and more instead.
It's ok now i straightened the bent base plate then took it down my mates, he gave it a once over and fitted 2 new caps a skirt or two of switch cleaner and its up and running again, i have now just got to fit some better speaker sockets to make life a bit easier
