Thank you very much to Ali Tait for a straight forward purchase of my pristine Garrard 401. I'm delighted that it was effectively NOS and I hope you get great enjoyment from it.
I have just discovered the "Technical" section of this forum and I'd like to give very special thanks to the contributor Fount Master who seems to be the principal contributor here. I haven't read everything yet, but as a 'background knowledge' resource, this seems invaluable....
Many thanks
A big thank you to Rossman (Paul) who has sold me his pair of Heybrook speaker stands. Perfect for my old Missions and packed to withstand a nuclear bomb.
Cheers
Dave

A big thanks to John (Sondekker) for a 1958 Westinghouse 12BH7a which has tonight been singing in the Croft 25R.
To be honest I was not expecting what this valve has done in the line stage. Big soundstage with fantastic three dimensional image and great depth. More details in the background and a very solid big hearty sound.
This has elevated the sound of my system and given it a bit of liquid valve magic!
I must say the generosity of Brian (2957) has been amazing and I would like to say a huge thanks to him for a never ending supply of bits and pieces for my Lenco GL75 including a thrust plate, new ceramic ball bearing and a superbly constructed replacement phono lead with plugs attached and pre tinned ready to solder.
This chap is definitely more than a gentleman and one of the main reasons AOS is such a great forum for meeting liked minded and extremely generous people.
Big thanks to Grant (Struth) for the Blues records he sold me. Some rarities which I'd been after for some time. Beautifully packed as always, I'm delighted and playing them now.
(Oh - and thanks for the 'extras'. :))

Thanks Montesquieu for the cartridge. arrived safe and sound and is singing away nicely.
Thanks and respect to Oliver (Bigman80) for being a cool, mature, respectful and understanding buyer, despite Royal Mail almost wrecking the party by handling the package like a football.
Thankfully no damage done.
Top man is Oliver
Mega thanks to the Mad Moon for the interconnects for me and CD player for my mate. He even dropped them off. Bless you Sir.
Many thanks to Dave (hi-fi dave) for the two Nagaoka cartridge cases he sold me.

A very big thank you to Peter (petrat) for selling me his SME M2-12R arm.
He gave me the arm when we met at MiBO in November, but was quite prepared to wait for 'final payment', a gesture that was greatly appreciated at the time owing to 'cash flow limitations' on my part.
Peter is a real gentleman and his patience and understanding in this matter only goes to show the level of friendliness, helpfulness, and integrity and trust engendered by the Forum.
Again many thanks Peter
Barry

Sean
Thanks to Josie for the Amp,yet again great to deal with.
Would just like to thank a few members who have helped me with honest and quick sales. Its always hard sending big cash via PayPal or Bank Transfer to someone you have never met thinking I hope the item arrives:rolleyes:

And last Mike Music for my Jelco arm and Oyaide cables. Another big chunk of money sent all on trust and worked out fine. Such a nice guy who spoke on the phone giving upgrade advice etc:). Thank you all:D
But on a down side I am now broke due to the expense and will have to sell it all and by a Lidl special :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
The last bit was a joke. And happy to say my SL1210 is now singing:eek:
Great site great members. Nice to see people not trying to rip each other off:D
