It turned out to be a beautiful day today, despite the completely inaccurate weather forecast, that we decided to go out for Sunday lunch in a local pub.
Homemade paté with toast (sadly not Melba toast as it should be) to start, followed by roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, sausage pieces, roast potatoes, peas, broccoli, carrots, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese with sage and onion stuffing:
I've never had a roast lunch that was so plentiful. Not bad for £15 apiece. We were so full that we forewent any dessert!

Oven-baked smoked haddock, with air-fried chips and vegetables: red and green peppers, leek, asparagus, onion, green beans, broccoli, sweetcorn and beetroot.
Beef in a tomato and chilli sauce, baked potato, with carrot, asparagus, green beans and brocolli
Some more baked potatoes, but this time with tuna mayonnaise, steamed red peppers, baby corn, carrots and asparagus:
A large orange for desert and a glass of a 2022 Château de la Grande Tour, Cuvée Phoebe, Bordeaux.
Very healthy as always, Barry! Well done. I shan't upset you with a picture of tonight's Toad in the Hole...!
Tonight - king prawns on a bed of spinach, with carrots, boiled potatoes and steamed onion and red pepper.
Tiramisu for dessert (not so healthy!) and a glass or two of a 2022 Château Le Coin, Bordeaux to drink.
Again no pics as I'm away from my laptop, and I don't know how to transfer photos from my smartphone to the Forum.
Steak pie, with mustard-mash potatoes, carrots, green beans and broccoli:
Muesli with yogurt for dessert.
