Yes I like roast lamb, roast beef and occasionally roast pork; though I prefer roast beef and roast lamb. I like to make casseroles with pork.

In general I prefer it if the meat looks least like the animal from which it has come.

Cool. What about pork chops? And I'm not talking about the (usually tough as old boots) supermarket variety... Also, roast loin of pork (or stuffed belly pork) is fantastic.

Lol - freshly grated Parmesan does NOT smell like vomit! :nono:

You're getting mixed up with that stagnant old sock dust, posing as 'Parmesan', sold inside little tubs in supermarkets.

Parmesan needs to be eaten when it's fresh, and freshly grated onto food, with a microplane grater, to get it nice and fine. Once the pack's been opened, it's good for a week or so in the fridge, tops. As soon as the cheese becomes unnaturally hard (and yellow looking), that's when it smells as you describe.

Also, you need to buy good quality stuff. Only use Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, which will be stamped onto the skin/rind. Anything else is grossly inferior.
