US versions had the tits "taped" over. But an unexpected censorship that happened on later releases was the picture of the WR Phang dental practice. Some of the pictures on the sleeve represented well-known phrases (a fork in the road, a nice pear, a kettle of fish, etc), but this Phang picture was removed because NHS dental practices aren't allowed to advertise.

I bet if the album was reissued now the one of the levitating Japanese warrior (a Nip in the air) would also fall victim to censorship, because that's the world we live in.

There are many covers that show bare breasts; none of them I regard as being 'risque' or offensive. Pink Floyd often had oblique references to sex, such as the title Ummagumma, a local euphemism for fucking.

What I object to are covers which suggest rape or the brutal treatment of women, such as the banned cover of the Guns & Roses' LP, and other heavy metal bands. Whereas I have no problem with depictions of a couple making love: such as that shown (as a painting) on the cover of Jabula.

Madonna Remixed Revisited. Bought this at an independent record shop in Stoke at the weekend. It is truly dreadful, sounds rough as a badger's arse. It will go on the shelf with my sizeable collection of Madonna albums, never to be played again.

Not aware of that one. Did a search, but didn't find anything.

I.M.H.O., the only Madonna albums that stand out for me are True Blue and Ray Of Light. The latter of the two is absolutely superb!!!! The other albums are OK, I much prefer her singles more than the albums!! Only my opinion though.

Yeah I would agree with that. But the album I play the most is "Something to Remember", a compilation of her best-known more downbeat songs and ballads. Definitely worth having and you can get it really cheap.

As far as I'm concerned, art is like comedy - either everything is considered sacred, or nothing is.

Some things may be offensive to some, that's tough. If it doesn't actually break any laws, then it's fine IMO.
