That's a bloody nuisance Grant. I've been quite lucky with my purchases I suppose, the last 'rogue' one was that Ingersoll with the detached second hand which came from Amazon, got their courier to come and collect it. Before that I had a Citizen eco-drive that arrived with the back off & worked when it felt like it & a Swatch that was described as a fully working automatic watch - they lied on both counts, neither working nor automatic!
just looked back the guys feedback which was pretty good. only one neg, but it was for a blue parnis... i wonder if it was a rebound?
Well there are these -

But I struggle to get the pin to line up with the hole in the link.
So I use this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Repair-Remo.../dp/B07CZG4KGV
Which I find more precise
I used to have the first one years ago and broke it.
Think this lot of stuff has that second set with long hammer. Wasn't sure what the hamma was for lol
Quite flashy that.. Catches the eye.
I've put the Parnis back on. It charges quite quickly too.

I still like the Orient Roy.
Cheers Grant. Think the Hugo Boss would look good on that black & orange nato you got.
Juat ordered one of those :)
Thanks both.
This arrived from the states, will probably divide opinion but I like this brand.

Nice yellow watch. Mentally noted.
The paulareis is quite nice. They do a few models
thats quite nicely laid out
That’s really nice.
Reminds me of the Seiko Alpinist, but actually nicer.

The power reserve dial is strangely comforting.
Yes, I've always liked the look of the Alpinist but never pulled the trigger as I think it's overpriced. Also the reason for not having any Grand Seikos in the collection, can't get my head round parting with that amount of cash for something that's 'just a Seiko'.
Yet another strap on this as the yellow/orange one was a little narrow.
Although a cheap watch and the strap cost more I quite like ithttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0ea346ab64.jpg
That looks good Struth.
More of a fake than an homage but I don't think Panerai have ever made a watch like this. Bought from the long since defunct 'Poshwatch' website this is about 15 years old and surprisingly still fully functional (other watches I bought from this site have long since failed / fell to bits).

This just arrived, very happy with the build quality (got two spare links for you Grant)

This came as well. How you getting on with the strap on yours Grant?
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc522e0879.jpg
yeah. its an odd strap. think its because of the way its seated in the lugs. personally if i felt more confident i'd change it. I do have something similar but more nato esque.. (similar colour) , coming...

My hands dont work so well and that strap is difficult to work with. still the one on is easily adjusted
Yes, I've got a black leather 'quick release' strap coming that I think might suit it also an orange silicone one I might try?
I have to wait for my meds to kick in before I try anything complicated but then it's a good work out to maintain my manual dexterity. Did you get your GMT homage yet?
Partner I lost in 2011 didn't have a great deal of jewellery, what there was I gave to her boy (although thinking back I bought her most of it), think he sold it to go towards a trip to Thialand where he was going to make his fortune... before coming back a couple of months later literally with his 'tail' between his legs lol
Still got all Mum's stuff though apart from a nice big gate bracelet I gave to one of my cousins.
most of it wont be especially valuable.. but i guess a hundred tenners adds up, plus there is some nice stuff too... think my and my dads wedding rings are probably there. didnt fit so were put away i think in there.
must have a look when im up to it. at least i know where they are now.
I gave a fair amount to my daughter as well
Yes, it's weird how stuff turns up, usually when you're looking for something else. Recently found a few old & precious photographs (my Dad was quite a keen photographer back in the day). I've scanned them and passed them round to various family members (sometimes with a 'who's that at the back?' request).
This one reflects where my interest in cooking probably started :)

Kept this on today. The GMT hand is fully functional, I'm impressed for the price.

Uhm..wheres the GMT hand? :D
