Yep - good pics man - I'm not a small speaker fan but this really worked in the room. Very sweet and clean.
Just spotted this on the Wam from JackieJay:lol:Quote:
Ditto my first Wigam Show. Pros? Good mix of classic kit not all my choice but good to see, the best was the last room 'Cheap as Chips' (£58 for a system anyone?) it was enough to make a grown man cry.
Here's a few more pics from the Wam thread: I really must get on so I'll write up a bit more later tonight.

Well pleased to hear the CAC challenge was such a success guys. It was a brilliant idea that reflects so well on AOS and what it stands for. This forum has given me so much inspiration and knowledge over the last few years. It doesn't surprise me one bit that so many people enjoyed the contribution of AOS as a whole.
I'm just sorry I couldn't be there. :(
Couple more Wam posts - sorry, can't resist! ;)

The Cheap as Chips room was great, especially Royksopp on some tiny Wharfedale Super Diamonds, brilliant.
I'll stop it now! :eyebrows: ;)Quote:
A marvellous, marvellous day. So many great people, so much amazing hi-fi and so much good music. There were of course high points for me, as for us all, but just having the chance to hear and see all that gear in one place was utterley unique.
I will say specifically though that the Art Of Sound Cheap As Chips challenge was a bit scary !
No Alex, carry on - makes me feel really good, reading all about the CAC room
Trouble is, the secret's out about the "N5 annihilating" Diamonds (whatever version, they all do it...) and the prices of used gear won't be cheap as chips by next year.
P.S. Glad the Cambridge seemed to survive the day intact and unscathed......
Very true David, i think many will have gone home and straight onto ebay, to look for a little gem, the Cambridge well unscathed is a little ambitious, literally all the pots needed a clean, i think once Alex got it set up he kinda left it alone and if you didn't like the volume well tough, cos if he touched the volume control he lost one channel, think i'll buy him a tin of servisol for his birthday:eyebrows:
Yep - note to self - include a tin of Servisol next year! It did sound lovely, though.
