The Kipschorns were my original motivation way back. I heard a bass drum test record at a Hi Fi Show in Melbourne, Australia and I was visibly moved. The huge bass sine wave passed straight through my body. That was the day I decided to chase a sound, a speaker, anything to get that in my living room. If you have followed what I have written here it has taken several different cabinets to get to the Westies and now we are at 51 years. In other words those HPD 385's 15" are 51 years old. Amazing now I think about it. They cost me a mozza when I brought them. Doesn't seem anything but a bargain now though.

I’ve now got DIPTYQUE DP77s, plus ZU Method sub (twin 15 inchs!) so a rather different way. Driven by domestic requirements,having lost my Audio room.
Reminds me to sell my infamous (?) hanging chair that sat -hung -at the sweet spot.
The Klipschorns these days would have to have a warehouse space attached!
