I had never heard of him before, but Jalen Ngonda was on the Graham Norton Show last night, so checking out his debut album from last year, Come Around and Love Me.
More than a hint of Curtis Mayfield in his singing, and the music reminds me of some 70’s favourites of mine - Isaac Hayes, Al Green, even a bit Stevie Wonder in places. I’m asking Santa for a vinyl copy of this…
