Even better... I just think it looks utterly stunning!
Marco.
That's a bargain dude! People into mid-century modern furniture etc go mad for Dieter Rams Braun designs.
Looks a minter too.
Edit: Here we go: Braun T1000 sold for £486
Wow... Looks like I did get a bargain! However, the one in the pic was just lifted from the 'Net. Mine's not arrived yet. It's in good nick, but maybe not quite as minty as the one in the pic :)
Marco.
Here you go. We still love it, even thought we've had it now for nearly three years.

Looks really smart, Dave, but a little too modern for what we're trying to create (bearing in mind also that we live in a 19th centrury lodge)... Love the orange colour, though! :)
Marco.
Even a 60 year old cartridge can go for silly money:

£225 for an Ortofon S-series cartridge? It's mono and can only be used in RMA arms that have the Neumann 'diamond' contact cartridge coupling arrangement!
Well, I suppose it's more 1970s than 1960s really. Given the age of your house, I would imagine something that doesn't look out of place would be best. It's not an easy balancing act to make though; we live in a modern house, so it isn't much of an issue. You must have an AGA though! Surely! :)
Not at the moment, although we love them, but I'm not sure it'll go with the look we're trying to create, which is something like this:

Crumbs Marco. I know you like retro hi-fi but that's going a bit too far. Looks like one of those rip it out jobs from 'Homes Under The Hammer'
