I haven't heard that particular Tull LP, but I would never describe Jethro Tull as 'hard rock'. Rock, yes - but hard rock? No.
In fact Jethro Tull has been cited as one of the bands, and of the type of music that the Punk movement railed against.
There's maybe three tunes on it that could be classed as rock, maybe at a push heavy rock. One 'Tull does Tull' song 'Farm On The Freeway' and the rest is more folk/pop - if there is such a thing.Quote:

Tull usually classed under 'Progressive Rock', or 'Folk Rock' - used to be anyway, in record shops.
I have a few of their earlier LPs and a couple of compilation CDs. However, based on your endorsement, I'll look out for a copy.
I'm also going to find a copy of the ZZ Top record you cited. Will be a CD copy as the LP is silly money.
