Looking good, mate! Have you had any 'tweaks' done to it recently?:)
Or indeed, what have you done to it, if anything, from it being as standard?
Marco.
Cheers, yes it buffs up well. No haven't done anything, quick enough as it is lol. Only thing non standard is normal tyres, the ride is too harsh with run flats, don't like them at all.
Did think about remapping, but I know too many people who have had problems long term so decided against it.
No worries. I also hate run flats for similar reasons, so never use them. I just carry enough Tyre Weld, to get me to the nearest ATS, or somewhere else I can get a puncture properly repaired or tyre replaced if necessary. Or call the RAC!
If remaps are done right, by trained and experienced professionals, who are intimately familiar with how your car's engine works, there are NO issues, and the gains can be substantial. All you're effectively doing is releasing the latent potential in your car's engine!
Just avoid using generic, plug-in 'tuning chips'. Proper remapping is carried out by software experts, and are bespoke to your car.
My mate (Kevin), who owns the following company, is a BMW expert. If he was on Mastermind, *anything* about BMWs, from any era, would be his specialist subject. Honestly, mate, what he doesn't know about Beemers isn't worth knowing, and he's the same with mapping: https://www.bmwizard.co.uk/
He's based in Oswestry, about 30 mins from me, so when this CV stuff is over, and if you fancy transforming your car's performance with a proper bespoke remap, give Kev a ring. You'd be welcome to stay over at mine, in order to break up your journey, or if you're in the area, pop in and have a chat with him. Trust me, it *will* be worth it!
Marco.
Was going to wash mine today, but took one look at it and opened a beer instead..
