Yes - according to discog sales, the average sale price for the vinyl copy is around £80. So look after your copy: who knows what it will be worth in 5 years time.
It's a double CD, so £20 is not too bad. If you like early Floyd, I would highly commend 'Live at the Roundhouse'. The recording quality is excellent, and, dare I say, some of the versions here are better than the originals! :sofa:
Playing the two CDs recently was the most enjoyable hour or so I have spent in a long time.
Well, I enjoyed this so much I hopped onto Tidal, and wow - it appears all of the tracks recorded for the film have been found, restored, and released. Available to stream, but released on vinyl next month so that’s a definite purchase for me!
The Jeff Healey Band - Road House (The Lost Soundtrack) (2024)

These are covers, but just fantastic playing and vocals from Jeff and the band. So glad these recordings have surfaced and now available.
“Mondo, in collaboration with Sony Music and the Jeff Healey estate, delivers a definitive edition of the Road House soundtrack, featuring the full breadth of The Jeff Healey Band's contributions to the iconic 1989 film. Unlike previous releases, which contained only a fraction of the band's performances, this album features all 12 songs recorded and performed by the band in the film, including seven previously unreleased tracks. Painstakingly restored by Roger Costa and the Jeff Healey estate, this release serves as a tribute to Healey's extraordinary talent and the enduring legacy of Road House.”

If anyone's not heard of Jeff Healey before or just want to read a bit more about him and his legacy, this is an interesting 5 minute read written by his publicist, Richard Flohill.

I almost caved and bought it this morning, but the seller who wanted £20 for it last night is now asking £26. So he can take a long jump off a short pier. It would make an ideal fathers day gift, unfortunately my daughters want to take me somewhere for a meal. Some folk are so thoughtless...
Still there's always my Christmas wish list, it'll be here before you know it :)
