Lloytron or Winfield?

9710? Maybe. The driver opening appears to be the size for an 8" driver and the nice old chap who sold them to me said he worked for Phillips at the time the cabinets were made for him (in the sixties I'd guess).
Might just be a pair of Wharfedale Super 8 RS DD units though. That'd be nice. :)
I'll have a look after I've had some food.
You tease, Geoff!

Looks nice... you picked up a goody :) looks nice ply too Yacht grade
Wow. I was expecting lots of colouration and the usual odd phase effects through the mid due to the tweeter cone. Actually it's quite the opposite, they are very clean and tight, with remarkable transparency. Depth portrayal is in the Tannoy class. Amazing. I think these may be 'keepers'. Not bad for £30. :)
I cant believe the asking price of these NS1000Ms
Rehdeko RK50 speakers at a sensible price from Emporium Hi-Fi. These are mega hard to come by.

There's nothing else quite like them!
These are confounding me (yes I know I'm harping on :)).
They are the best full range drivers I've heard (yes, I've owned Lowthers). There's a real immediacy, depth and naturalness to them. They're giving my Tannoys a run for their money and I haven't even got them on the end of a Class A amp yet.

More nutty pricing. It's not worth that much.

Ah, a classic wankstain, and a ‘mature’ one at that: note the pearlescent, milky residue…. :eyebrows:

Could slip under the radar cheapish
How do people come to the price of £5 post for sending a cheap lightweight cartridge?
depends on size of box and insurance and how rapidly you send. special delivery is expensive on the face of it but is well insured and spends the minimal amount of time in the hands of the carrier.
Three grand for a "brand new" Garrard 301? Not sure what to think. Looks a bit blingy, but theres a lot of work in there:

Too much glare for my liking!

Described by the owner as a holy grail amplifier - Sony TA-E7B/TA-N7B.
Sadly it is priced accordingly. Worth it I expect.
Nice arnt they?
Sure are.
Huh; Its got marks on it;)
Decent looking Ortofon MC25 FL only bid up to £52 so far, ends in a day and a half. Very nice MC indeed, it has great depth and an 'organic' sound. I use one alongside my ZYXs and it compares well. They are definitely a bit special. Grab it if you want a fine low output MC at a sane price.
