I remember the 'come and see some puppies' one but not that - a public information film on the danger of teapots...well it was the seventies...

Well she was getting her daily dose of man's milk!Quote:
"Mummy was talking to the milkman" - yeah, bet she was...
Marco.
I liked these, too...
Marco.
For some reason the memory of this advert just flew into my brain.
'Hold on There Bald Eagle.............!'
There's seven odd minutes of old ads on this clip, another Texan bar one at 3 mins in.
Personally I preferred the one that started with the immortal words:
'Sheriff, Black Dan's escaped & he's coming this way!' but I couldn't find that.
Learn to Swim - I swear the Fairy God Mother is Thatcher - listen to the voice!
For some reason I found this hilariously funny:
I guess it's just my big daft nut! :lolsign:
Marco.
Well, chaps, before you go to bed you must watch this!!!
Sleep tight now ;)
Marco.
Don't go to bed -
Stay & watch DAKTARI!!
(Subtitled Clarence the Cross Eyed Lion has got a headache)
LOL. That was good, but this was much better...
Who remembers it?
And Callan:
Everything was so creepy in the 1970s, and I loved it! :eyebrows:
Anyone got any idea why theme tunes for programmes then were often so dark and eerie?
Marco.
Did anyone see 'Steel Collar Man' - it was on one holiday when the cricket ended early and they didn't have anything else to show. The intro alone goes some way to explain why the pilot didn't go anywhere. There was a hilarious bit where he wrestled a shark and threw it a few hundred yards up the beach...
Brilliant ad though, isn't it? It ticks all the boxes for me! :eyebrows:
Marco.
I just loved this series, too:
:eyebrows:
Did anyone else like this kind of stuff?
Marco.
I preferred the older series such as...
Beasts
Doom Watch
The Night Gallery
The Twilight Zone
and the king of them all IMHO The Outer Limits.
TV shows but self contained stories The Sex Olympics, The Stone Tape, The Highway all from the mind of Nigel Kneale, he off Quatermass fame.
Also brilliant The Flip Side of Dominic Hyde and its follow up.

Is that in between rogering the bit on the side, Alex? I'll check the guest list for a "Mr & Mrs Smith" :lol:Quote:
Just watching this now Dan, in a hotel room in Nottingham.
Hummina hummina, rattle those headboards baby... :bum:
;)
Marco.
hmmm... a salacious evening with a Nottingham tart and Minder.... heaven!
:nocomment:
Oh that I could afford a misstress- I don't think my testicles or bank balance could take it if I got caught! and of Course not forgetting that I love Mrs Alex very much anyway (And she knows all my passwordS, ahem...)
Amazingly it seems quite normal and accepted in certain European countries France/Italy to have a mistress (I assume you mean this in the normal context and not some BDSM way ;))....assuming thats true and not some stereotypical English man/womans fantasy...envy.

One woman's bad enough. I couldn't imagine having two on the go...
Ah, but most of that hour would be used up, errrm watching...
From The Grave
I thought this was supposed to be about TV programmes but it seems to be about mistresses
Mistresses - a compelling chick-flick TV drama that was good fun to watch with your partner and discuss the incredible situations they found themselves in. In some of the cases, I could speak from experience...
Oh, and is it just me or is Orla Brady simply gorgeous?
Star Trek - the original series which overcame it's technical limitations brilliantly
Open All Hours. One of the best scripted sitcoms ever, better I think than Porridge
Steptoe and Son. Brilliant TV series, the films were pants
Worzel Gummidge
Columbo About as predictable as rain during Easter, but Peter Falk made it his own
Spike Milligan's "Q" series. My all time favourite sketch was him the mickey out of David Attenborough. For those that haven't seen this masterpiece, here it is
