oops, that didn't work.
Marco, where did I go wrong? I uploaded the image to photobucket and then used the insert image option on here which begins with the 'http' prompt. I thought I'd copied and pasted correctly?
cheers
btw, i used the img code.

Here's another one of me. It's a picture of a photograph of me (and a mate) in a tent at Mallory Park 1991. Just before a race.
Guess which one is me! ;)

Nice earring, Mike!
Thanks Shane
First off a couple of paintings,

and some pictures from last years Great North Run.

Kevin, ya hunk, haha... Who did the paintings, and what's the crucifix one all about?
Mikey, that's a belter of a pic... You look like a 70s French porn star! :lolsign:
If I drew one of those 'speech bubbles', you see in cartoons, above you it would read:
"'Allo ladeez, my name ees Antoine de la Cruz and I am your gigolo for zees evening. Enter my Citroën and prepare to be relieved of your panties" :eyebrows:
It's that sleezy little smirk that does it!!

Marco.
The paintings were by one of my brothers. The crucifiction is a deceptive one, not biblical in nature, British scenery, telegraph poles in the background, and I'm tied on using electrical cable. I told him the nails were in the wrong place as well:lolsign:
He currently has a painting on exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.

He's very good :)
... Slightly Howson-esque in his style:

Let's hope he becomes as famous!
Marco.
You can see what I mean, though... Just imagine the above text superimposed into the picture: "'Allo ladeez, my name ees Antoine de la Cruz and I am your gigolo for zees evening. Enter my Citroën and prepare to be relieved of your panties". [Haw di haw]...
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5493/mikey.png
Or it could read: "I've got a Jaaag outside, sweety... Fancy going for a little spinette, then back to my place for a Martini?"
 :eyebrows:
Marco.
Well, like my username, my Avatar doesn't take much explaining, and if you've seen it, you've seen me and my little girl Tamzin, who will be 1 next month. Here's a slightly more recent one.

I'm not really that chubby in real life... ok, yes I am - I gave up smoking 3 stone ago, and am now starting the battle of the bulge 18 months on. Still can't give up the red wine though!
Mike - as soon as I saw your pic I thought I recognised you, then noticed you are from Norwich which was my stomping ground until a few years ago. Having peeked at your profile that doesn't really help, 'cos I doubt you'd be old enough to have been a teacher I would have known, so not sure where I (think) I recognise you from - unless you've just got one of "those" faces - no offence intended! ;)
I've appeared in enough bake-off photos so why not...
http://www.technobear.btinternet.co....hnobear001.jpg
:)
ALEX, I'm afraid I probably am old enough to have been one of your teachers; however, I kind of retired to Norwich eight years ago, having done my time in and around Thanet, Kent in the seventies and eighties.
Guess I must have a familiar fizzog !!! Beautiful little girl you have there, b.t.w.
That's probably it, unless I've seen you hanging around Sevenoaks or other dubious retail establishments! No, actually now I remember, it was Crimewatch! ;)
And after I've just said all those nasty things! Thanks though - luckily she takes after her mum!
Bump.
Sex God himself on hols this year.. ;)
Oh well, I had already posted it :

Hi :)
My passport picture, aged 16, way back in the 1970's.
Thankfully time has helped improve my haircut, if not my cheerful demeanour..

Ok, I'll bite. Here's me and my very much better looking other half. I leave it as an exercise to determine who is whom. Hint: I rarely wear earrings.

You look very distinguished there, Neil - like a proper Scottish laird! :)
All that's missing is a wee sheepdog by your side and a stick ;)
Nice pics, keep 'em comin' folks.
Marco.
P.S I love Brochs, too. We visited a few when we were in Orkney. If you haven't been there, that's one place you must go - you'd be in your element!
Yup, Orkney is awesome for Brochs... In fact, it's awesome, full-stop, if you love beautiful scenery, fresh air and tranquillity, (count me in!) Life is also beautifully slow-paced and 'real', rather like it is in rural North Wales.
Orkney also has wonderful serenity and 'honesty' - a veritable land where time forgot, almost completely devoid of the ravages of commercialism, and totally divorced from the rat race of modern life. I love it.
Oh, and the seafood restaurants (and whisky) are to die for! :)
Marco.
Well, I posted this pic once before in another thread, but I'll post it here for all to see.
It's me holding a gun!

Handsome huh?
As I started this I thought I would up-date. That's me on the right, her indoors in the middle and my audio-buddy (don't you love amercans) on the left.
http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...ust2008018.jpg
And that looks very much like Dartmouth. Am I right?
Yes, I thought Dave Cawley would be the first to claim the prize!
If you squint you can just about see The New Angel Restaurant on the
left...vely nice
Well here's my ugly mug.
http://i374.photobucket.com/albums/o...r_photo/Me.jpg
I'm the chap on the right. It was taken at a BBQ a few years ago when I lived in Devon.
Glad to hear that - I was just over 6 stone then, with a waist size of 26"...
Non too fat for a 6 footer !
I too am slightly heavier now..
A woman once tried that, and almost succeeded - she was about your weight too !
No surprise then that Kate, my wife is only small - she is 45 kilos - not bad after having 2 kids and only a kilo more than she was when we met. I am closer to double that now..
When was that pic taken, David? :)
Marco.
I look best from behind :)
