After previous discussions we've had on the phone regarding TD124's Marco I do hope you acquire one at some point as I would follow your upgrade journey with relish. I am in awe of the design and manufacturing expertise Thorens lavished on the TD124 and if funds become available in the future I would definitely seek one out.

No doubt it'll happen at some point, Dave. Barry has kindly offered to loan me one of his TD124s, for an extended listen, so when that happens I'll get a good handle on what it's like, compared with the Techy.

I'm a big fan of idlers, done well. I love their rock-solid and 'ballsy' sonic presentation. A Goldring Lenco G99, suitably fettled to the max, is another possible candidate :)

An "artsasat" is an Automatic Response To Stupid Arse Statements About Techies (1200s).

The correct syntax is "ARTSASAT: -> picture of your Techy (to annoy the culprit) -> ARTSASAT:"

I tried to disable this service on my Win7 laptop yesterday; but, you know how Microsoft is. :lol: I can try to turn it off again today if you prefer.
