Maybe some of you know this one but it's passed me by. Made between '89 and '95, sort of a more elegant, less pro-looking Technics SLP1200.
I'm not keen on top-loading CD players, but that Luxman looks the business - very stylish.

No the bass drivers aren't on the wrong way round. I've no idea what the deal is with that, though.
The Fisher valve gear of the late '60s was well regarded. However the stuff you show doesn't inspire confidence. The appelation "Professional" is meaningless, as is slapping some wood on the sides.
True the 'Professional' tag is just their top of the range 'name'. However the receiver component is tested here and gets a clean bill of health:Quote:

I suspect the CD player is also fine. Can't find anything about the tape deck or turntable though. Sanyo were a big player in electronics, still are I think, they could make decent kit when they wanted to.
