Looks good Alex, though I would just go with the 'Toad' - you can keep the 'Hole'. I find Yorkshire pudding boring and somewhat tasteless.
But yes, the weather is changing , so despite it having been a wonderful day today, it was chilli-con-carne and rice for me tonight. Photos to follow.
Lasagne. Served with a shovel, luckily tasted better than the presentation suggests!

Certainly looks tasty - home made?
Thanks Barry. Yes, from scratch, although not the lasagne sheets. I’ve perfected the meat sauce recipe (same as bolognese) over many attempts but it does take a lot of prep. My “secret” ingredient which Marco will castigate me for when he returns is a whole chorizo ring, chopped into tiny pieces - I timed myself and it took 24 minutes to do that alone!
Lasagne used to be my daughter’s favourite, but ever since she had a sickness bug and tried to eat it whilst still not feeling well she can’t stand the site or smell of it. Billy loves it too, so taking the opportunity to make it for him whilst she is away. I was the same with macaroni cheese - had some when I was about 8 and was then sick, the smell of it used to make my stomach churn. I did get over it a few years ago, but it took nearly 4 decades before I could eat it again!
Cottage pie- well, it is winter and we need comfort food, right?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a36582e038.jpg
Again, it looks lovely. Good to see the veg. :)
Meatballs with spaghetti

Beef, boiled potatoes with an onion, garlic and tomato sauce, and courgettes.
Chavy tea tonight. I suppose the beans are sort of healthy…!

Sausage concoction with loads of garlic

Well you can’t go wrong with a concoction that includes sausage and garlic!
More fries…. So not very healthy again but very tasty - Katsu Chicken Burgers with red cabbage slaw. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...09bdbff586.jpg

Tonight - beef and baked p

A couple of nectarines for dessert. :)
(* Thinking about it, a better description would be "ratatouille".)
Those all look great Barry - I’m guessing not all in one day, though?
No - not all in one day.
It's too much bother to photograph and post each day, so I do a few day's worth and post 'en masse'.
Same with "Spinning Today ....".
The New Inn, Horning in the Norfolk Broads to meet my Dad and sister who are nearing the end of a two week boating holiday. I had steak and venison pie, which apparently was a prize winner at some pie awards or other in 2023. It was good, but I wouldn’t have said it was an award winner if it wasn’t for it saying so on the menu.

Last night was homemade pizza night, mine was overcooked a bit but still nice, toppings included St Agur blue cheese, mushrooms onions olives tomatoes and pine nuts. Pine nuts ok on pizza, pineapple most definitely not - discuss… :)

Wow homemade pizza! Do you make the base? Whatever it looks delicious. :)
Apropos pineapple in a pizza topping - no, never! Perish the thought!
Make the dough, mixed and proved in a bread maker, but I roll it with a rolling pin, not yet worked out how to "fling" it around like the Italians do!
My hat's off to you Alex! The best I can do is to cook a shop bought pizza in the oven.
Thanks Barry, kind of you to say. It’s a lovely family thing to do - I chop and put out loads of different ingredients and we all make our own version - amazing that we all come up with completely different concoctions - I usually go vegetarian but Billy loves chorizo and salami, Sue likes prosciutto and they both like spinach and an egg (yes, an egg!) Tamzin usually a bit more minimalist or goes for seafood. I’ll photo everyone’s creations not just mine next time.
They all sound delicious Alex. Egg is a new one to me - are they hard boiled?
Roast chicken

Sunday roast - nice one Roy. :)
Think I need to cut down on the burgers and fries, but what the heck, it’s a Bank Holiday. Air fryer BBQ in view of the inclement weather…

Pretty much anything - best bet is to get a book, this one is pretty good and 50% off on Amazon at the moment.

Lamb Kofta wraps, with fries (again…) but at least there’s some salad and a not very traditional Greek corn on the cob…

That looks very wholesome, Roy.
Tonight - LOOK MUM, NO CHIPS!
Chicken and pasta bake, with fresh veg. By my reckoning, 9 of my 5 a day on that plate.

Pie and mash tonight
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4fa3ee49c2.jpg
What’s the pie?
Toad in the Hole again tonight. It looked pretty much the same as the last time I posted it with Hasselback potatoes and 4 veg - I didn’t take a photo as I didn’t want to upset Barry again with another picture of my Hole.
My wife and daughter are having a weekend away in that there London watching theatre shows and going to museums etc. and so the boys are home alone - curry night it is, then. [emoji4]

Chilli chops and noodles
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...186bd90255.jpg
Couple of teaspoons of this in some groundnut oil rubbed into the meat and left to marinate for a few hours. Then air fried in Foodi.

Nice one, thanks Roy, might give that a try.
Tonight it was Hotpot and veg.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...52ba1d2f22.jpg
Not tried this recipe before but it turned out really nice.
From my latest cookbook- 30 minutes my arse, was at least triple that!
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b5d20c8e3d.jpg
Another new recipe tried from the same book - BLT Pasta (with spinach rather than actual lettuce,). Very tasty and easy to make but more like an hour than 30 minutes! I’m clearly a slow chopper!
