That's really cheap for a B790 they don't come up very often. I've nearly bought one a couple of times at more than twice that price. not that I have ever heard one you understand, they just look really cool:)

I think the Rogers LS5/8 could be ordered with the PM510 passive crossover option. I once considered buying a pair that were supposedly ex ITN and they were passive and had only the pro connector.

Hi Andy,

I didn't know that the LS5/8 designs could be made available in a 'passive' option with the PM510 crossover. I should have read the eBay listing a little more carefully!

However to describe them as "BBC Studio Monitor Speakers", is a little disingenuous. The BBC never intended (as far as I know) the LS5/8 to be used without an active crossover, as the following explain (especially the second link):

I have been after a pair of genuine LS5/8 (with a pair of AM8/16 amps) for a long time. Never seen a pair come up in good enough condition alas!
