Found this place in Doncaster on Wednesday. Not a bad selection of music. I think they have only just opened.

A few recommendations for vinyl spinners.
1. Cannock indoor market - 2 stores with large turnover and unbelievable prices and some superb mint vinyl. Great variety.
2. Shrewsbury Indoor market - good selection but some vinyl a bit pricey - usual suspects:)
3. Stourbridge - Room above the furniture shop in lower high street - bought a copy of Satchmo plays king Oliver - near mint £1 !!!
4. Weymouth - don't know name of the shop but great selection and well priced - quite a bit of 12 inch techno (you may be interested Marco:lol:)
I know we all like pictures on this site so………..

This is a recently opened and very local to me, record shop.
It is only a few hundred yards from my house and is a constant temptation.
If you are in the North East, check it out, at: Front Street, Wingate, Co Durham TS28 5AA.
Tel: 07711 450045
(Closed Thursdays).
The business is www.45rpmdiscs.co.uk and is run by an old school friend. He has been operating as a web based business for several years, this is for singles only and the site lists about 23,000 singles. In July Brian decided to open the doors to the public and also branch out, offering albums as well from the shop.

The shop is a decent size and caters for most tastes (Brian pictured) there is a record deck with headphones out front for you to try before you buy and a second deck behind the counter attached to speakers, if you prefer to hear things that way. There is a fair selection of second hand vinyl and some new as well, which can be seen on the end stand.
The grading I have checked so far has been very honest and prices are definitely at the reasonable end of the scale.
He has a copy of the very rare Led Zep "one" with the Terquoise lettering, I haven't plucked up courage to ask the price of that one yet.
For anyone attending NEBO events, it is about 8 miles from Hartlepool and about 2 miles from the A19 trunk road. :)

They have just moved to new premises. Used to specialise in Classical, Blues and Jazz, but are now stocking a wider selection. They also do mail order, in fact Peter the founder of the business started off by running a mail order business in his spare time before he opened the shop.

A good answer to your question might be "Where have they all gone ?" I dont think theres tooo many about now - shame :(

Went to visit my folks in Coventry and bought a couple of records. Some of it a little overpriced (not stupidly so) but a pretty good selection. The owner Roman can talk the hind legs off a donkey. In a good way of course.

Been to a 'New' local one for me this morning...
The Vinyl Revival Store, 3 Church Street, Buckden, St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 5TE, UK
Tidy website too http://http://www.vinylrevivaluk.com/
Good selection of new and used vinyl at decent prices and some interesting used and vintage hi-fi gear for sale too not all of which is shown on the site.
It seems that he has only been open since late 2015 so I hope that business goes from strength-to-strength :goodluck:
