I might agree with that statement from the perspective of their whole albums but they did some great songs later like Dancing with Tears in My Eyes and The Voice.Quote:

And thinking about it, Ultravox are the only example of New Romantics that I like and have something of the genre.
The albums to listen to are Vienna, Rage In Eden, Quartet, Monument (Live) and Lament. All these albums are in the era with Midge Ure and to my mind are the best !!! The earlier albums are with John Foxx and are OK but nowhere near as good than the ones with Midge Ure. They did other albums with Midge but aren't of the quality of the aforementioned.Quote:

I know 'best of' collections of various performers are frowned upon by aficionados, but I like them despite usually having several stand-alone LPs of the particular artist(s). Put it down to laziness on my part!
