Bloody ebay sellers. I ordered two computer mice for the grand daughters. One in pink and one in blue. What do I get? Two blue ones. The order was very clear, as it was two separate purchases added to seller's basket prior to payment. They were not expensive, but now I've got to wait and see how the dozy buggers will sort this! :rolleyes:
Had my dunk in the sea yesterday and it was pretty warm but no training tomorrow as the wind is too strong for training so re-booked for Thursday ;)
I'm needing a steel ruler to cut some veneer. I have about half a dozen, but do you think I can find one? No chance!! :rolleyes:
Had tinned pilchards in tomato sauce with a buttered roll for lunch. Not had that for maybe twenty years. It made a nice change. Tasty!
Been without my system for two days now, whilst I was having a new central heating system installed. I have missed it - so now celebrating playing Jan Garbarek's 'In Praise of Dreams'.
Dug out the digital cameras. All older, but rather good models.

From the left. Fujifilm E900 (9mp), Nikon P6000 (13.5mp), at rear two Kodak P880's (8mp) and lastly to the front an Olympus (7.1mp).
Each camera has its own uses. The Fuji being the general purpose job, the Nikon being good for macro shots, the pair of Kodaks having a 24mm extra wide angle and the Olympus has a long tele zoom with effective image stabilsation.
If you're wondering what I took the photo with, its a bit of a digital classic. The Fujifilm F810 (6.3mp).

You'll notice that each of the compacts has an optical viewfinder. Not that many half decent cameras about that have one and I hate using the rear LCD screen in bright daylight, so a viewfinder is important to me.
The lowish pixel count means little. Each camera has a good lens and turns in very decent photos.
The whole lot stands me in at around £300, with the Nikon being the costliest, so I can't really grumble.
ive only got 1.. a canon. good camera, and has wifi for transferring pics to my ipad easily. thats why i got it and sold my sony that I felt took a better pic overall.
The fuji and the nikon are both decent cameras.. I used to have a kodak too but gave it to my boy.
Yup. The Nikon P6000 has WiFi and GPS, not that I'll use those facilities.
Yes I absolutely loath those rear screen LCD displays on compact digital cameras. I've spent forty or so years using rangefinder Leicas, so unless I can hold a camera up to my eye, I'm not happy.
Used to be that way inclined myself but this. Camera has a decent screen so don't mind so much now especially as I wear glasses
