535d M Sport mate. Best compromise between performance and MPG that I could find. If I cruise at 60 on the motorway I can get 52mpg, pretty good for a car with that power.
Of course I could remap it to 400bhp.. :D
Nice one, mate. Would the gearbox take it? And is that one of the ones with a twin turbo?:)
Only thing is, I've always found 5-Series Beemers to be a bit 'bulky' and executive looking (although super-comfortable and beautifully finished), much like E-Class Mercs. For that reason I prefer 3-Series and C-Classes accordingly.
It's also why I'd never buy a new Merc, as they look like they've been given steroid injections!
That 'phat', bulbous and bling styling seems to be favoured now - just look at the state of Rolls Royces....:spew:
Marco.
Yes the gearbox will take 700nm, so a stage 1 remap should be fine. It's an F10 with the twin turbo straight six N57 engine.
Agree it's not the lightest saloon around, but it still handles very well and it's ideal for what I mostly need, which is a motorway mile muncher. The interior is great and the seats very comfortable. Good stereo too.
Yup, defo spot on for that purpose... Enjoy!
There's new software out now for the map I had done on my car nearly three years ago, which offers more tweaking of the curves and improved performance, so will be getting that done soon, and then dyno-tested.
Defo look into the PS4s though, as your car is tailor-made for them:)
Marco.
Will do, also thinking about Eagle Asymmetrics too. Maps are something I'll think about, but to be honest it's fast enough as it is lol. I've also read a lot of horror stories over the long term post remap..
Eagle F1s are good. That's what I used before the PS4s. If it's 'bang for your buck' you're after, in terms of delivering the best performance in terms of price, grip, comfort and wear, then the Goodyears are good, although a little noisy, especially with low-profile.
The PS4s though, simply outclass them in all areas, so are worth the extra:)
Yeah, best not to take your car to the limits of BHP/torque. Always leave some 'headroom'. You know how it works, same with hi-fi!;)

I'm upgrading the mains cable on my Leaf charger :ner: can't beat some volts up it ;)
She wants a Vauxhall 'Astra' GTC' But i said when you win the lotto feel free other than that i suggest a lot more well paid job. Cos for where she goes & the use it gets its crazy wanting such an expensive car. Cant all be pratz like the Swedish Car Guru
