Starts off with a sort of Kurt Weil-esqe homage: 'Berlin', then reverts to the Lou reed I know and love. This album is darker than some of his others, and I'm still coming to terms with it. But that will be interesting and enjoyable task.

I like this from Brahms, from the 1860s though. String sextet no.1, first heard it from the Louis Malle film 'Les Amants', a bourgeois affair which would bore me nowadays. But from the actual 1880s, Eric Satie - Gynopodies, featured to great effect in Louis Malle's 'Le Feu follet', an utter classic.
