most young folk are not now into hifi as such... portable and no media is their idea of what it should be. that is fair enough as us oldies cant dictate to them.

They don't even know separates hi-fi is a thing. The ones who come round here often assume that all the equipment is for making recordings not playing them. Domestic playback equipment to them is earbuds or Alexa.
