This looks to be a potentially great buy. Nice speakers and amp with a cassette that may be fixable thrown in....London as per usual though:(

Reminds me of the famous Ebay Yellow Dress.

Decent looking Goodmans One Ten receiver. Rare in this condition (rare anyway now). These are excellent sounding units and surprisingly punchy. Has DIN connections if I recall. Well worth grabbing, it looks as though it'll be cheap.

Worth a watch: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-AC...item51ca9e5e6f
My mint one went for £100 6 years ago... If the matching amp comes along you'll have a lovely pair.
Musical Fidelity Synthesis integrated amplifier. Quite rare now. Looks like it'll be cheap, ends tomorrow.
A cut above the average integrated of the time. Has a reasonable MC input too.

I'm not 100% sure why some sellers do this but its actually quite common to see power-sellers asking ££££ for relatively low value items... But there is a pattern ! There's always only one or two left with loads sold [if you click the link showing how many are sold below the BIN button you can see what price they sold for.] I think its easier for the seller to artificially boost the price to a value no one in their right mind will click until they restock then rather than relist from scratch they can just revise the price.
I think :)
A nice leak from the 70's this

these were quite good if memory serves.
Sony TA-5650 - nice clean example.
Still plenty of time to pick up this bargain! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1314066144...398&rmvSB=true
Just look at the bidding history! I'm sure sociologists have a word for this phenomenon - it's called 'madness'! :mental: (Or maybe 'tulipomania'.)
All this chat about tone controls etc, reminded me of a few graphic equalizers i used to have many years ago. i like the look of this one, good quality sound too.

also selling these quad speakers

Pair of Tannoy DC1000 in Ipswich at £150 'buy it now'.
They're quite good fun, if a little coloured.

Possibly not a bargain....But still pretty droolworthy

Yeah, totally gorgeous!
Marco.
:exactly:

If I didn't own the AN Oto I would have this in a flash... they are supposed to be very good indeed::: and a bargain price ...;)

I agree Geoff that some old stuff is now getting silly money... and I cannot believe these speakers are worth the current bid:::

I guess they will go for >6K and that buys an awful lot of NEW speakers!!
Makes me rather glad I've got all the equipment I need (and more)! :D

Probably still too dear ?
Great speakers. They look like Mk.II

Could be worth a punt ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3512896634...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I reckon these are worth 2 times the asking easily. If I was down London way ...............:eyebrows:
Dont tempt me ! I've already fought temptation & won on this occasion so some other lucky git can have them :D Currently in a cycle of watching & then deleting before watching again each TA-5650 that gets listed...
 I have one on watch myself....but I think I will fight it off...nice though....alas there is still the worry of the PS-2250
The thing to remember with VFET Sony amps is that while they sound superb, they can be a bit fragile and there are no VFET replacements.
A safer bet is the '01 series Trio amps. They sound great too.
For all the people who {evidently} ignore my Castle Acoustics links you absolutely mad!
Never ignored it Andre; in fact I saw it yesterday on bay I think but it is pickup only. Nice speaks though plus stands.....one of the drawbacks of living in Scotia:lol:
Doing the usual. Trawling eBay for goodies. Can't find anything really significant so far (bought a cheap phono stage earlier, may be crap).
I see.[emoji12] I was watching one tonight and thought it might have been that .Won't say what though
Nice tidy TT2

I'm guessing many have never heard a pair used with quality amplification that compliments them Andr'e... Old pair of Durhams I had sounded pish on some very well respected SS amps and yet when connected to a decent EL34 amp they produced one of the finest sound's I've ever achieved [well, for acoustic type music anyway!]
