Interesting comment about the 303 / 606 / Elites .... I deduce that the Elite monos are more like 303 with more power. Would that be about right? (I've been curious about the Elite amps myself and am familiar with the 606).
Hadn't really thought of it like that but yes! The sound from the 606 seemed more closed in (moved it on for same price I paid for it so had a free audition, would still like to try a 'mark 2' though and a 707 & 909 :)). The 303 is still being used in the bedroom system with a Creek pre amp & some Diamond 155s.Quote:

Yep, still got the Crowns Grant (they're in the cupboard :)). Fair to say the Quads are more refined (although I have been experimenting a little with speaker placement which has helped improve things - amazing how much difference a few inches makes) & I must try the Krell again at some stage...
I have actually sold a couple of amps & a pair of speakers, trying to resist buying more.
Really couldn't stand to see the PS-6750 sitting idly in a corner, more for late night vinyl listening via the headphone socket on the Teac amp.
