Starbucks beans are over roasted cheap junk. If it's crap, burn it and perhaps they won't notice:D
Costa beans are better. A double shot is recommended as even medium lattes taste weak. More money, though.

TBH I am not sure I like it. Feels oddly light in the hand and a bit too fragile.

It does insulate well. So well there's no need to preheat the cup.
